Information for Incoming First-Year Students
The Student Residential Network—ResNet for short—is a free high-speed internet service available to Johns Hopkins students living in university housing.
If you need IT-related information or assistance, please choose one of the options below.
Method 1: Help during your Move-In and Orientation period
During your Move-In and Orientation period, the on-site ResNet IT Event will be available in the AMR II Blue Jay Lounge during the dates and times specified below to help if you have trouble connecting to our network or have any other IT issues/questions.

Method 2: Visit the Technology Center
In addition to the on-site ResNet IT Event, another option is to visit the Technology Center (IT & ID Service Hub) located on the second floor of the Campus Store at 33rd St. and St. Paul. The Technology Center is not only open during the Move-In and Orientation period, but it is also open throughout the year.
Their normal days and hours of operation are:
Monday–Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday–Sunday: Closed
Method 3: Contact the Johns Hopkins IT Help Desk
The Johns Hopkins Help Desk is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year for assistance. They can be reached by phone or online.
- Call: 410-516-HELP (410-516-4357)
- Submit a ticket online through the myJH Portal. From the portal, click the “Helpdesk” drop-down and select the appropriate icon to report a problem/submit a self-service ticket.
