New Students
New to Hopkins? Find programs, support, and connections to help you settle in and thrive from day one.
Welcome Home, New Jays!
Checking the application portal to see that you’ve been admitted to Johns Hopkins University is certainly exciting! But now what?
Whether you’ve just confirmed your enrollment or are navigating your first few weeks on campus, we’re here to help you find your footing and feel at home. Consider this page one of your go-to resources for acclimating to student life as a new Blue Jay
Let’s get started with some tips from students who have been there before:
- Get connected early. Attend New Student Orientation events, join a club, or visit your residence hall’s common spaces and introduce yourself to someone new.
- Ask questions. Advisors, professors, and professional staff are here to help. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. And if you still feel stuck, reach out to Student Outreach & Support.
- Explore Baltimore. From museums to markets, the city offers plenty to see and do within a quick shuttle ride.
