Technology Support
Access campus tech help, student email, J‑Card, and the Creative Media Center — everything you need to stay connected at Hopkins.
Everything You Need to Stay Connected
Tech is one of those things you may not think about until you really need it. Maybe you’re locked out of your email just before class. Or your laptop gives up in the middle of Reading Days. Or you’re finally ready to edit that podcast you’ve been working so hard on.
That’s where Technology Support at Hopkins comes in. We’ve got the tools to keep you connected (literally and figuratively) and the creative spaces on campus to help you make something amazing.
Your Go-To Tech Essentials
Find support for the tech must-haves you’ll use every single day — like your J-Card — and a bunch of services you’ll be glad are there when something goes wrong.
J-Card
Your J-Card gets you into buildings, pays for food, and sometimes feels like your lifeline when you forget your wallet in your room.
Information Technology Services
Canvas giving you trouble? Need help logging into OneDrive or Teams? This is the office for all things connection, software, and general “why won’t this work?!” moments.
Tech Store
Forgot your charger? Need a new laptop? You can grab gear at Tech Store, located within the Johns Hopkins Campus Store. This is your one-stop-shop for all your computing and mobile device needs.
Student Email
It may not be your preferred means of communication and it may not be glamorous. But your student email is how professors, advisors, and Hopkins as an institution will reach you. Check it often and let us know when you need help.
Creativity, Inspired.
Think of the Creative Media Center (CMC) as your creative playground to explore emerging media and technology. It’s where big ideas (and sometimes last-minute projects) come to life. Whether you’re recording your first podcast, editing a short film for class, or 3D-printing a model of Camden Yards just because you can.
The CMC is staffed by professional tech experts and well-trained students who will work with you at every step along the way. They’ll show you how to use the latest equipment, point you toward the right software, and maybe even introduce you to a project you didn’t know you wanted to try.
